Avocado Melon Salad With Lime Vinaigrette
A amazing twist on the classic melon ball salad, it's sure to be a hit at your next summer cookout. Melons were among the earliest plants to be domesticated in both the Old and New Worlds. Early European settlers in the New World are recorded as growing honeydew and casaba melons as early as the 1600s. Ingredients
- melon - 4, cups cubed
- avocados - 2 pieces
- lime - 1, juiced of
- sea salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sauce Ingredients
- oil - 3 tablespoons
- vinegar - 2 tablespoons (white, cider, wine, ..., not balsamic)
- salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Shake all ingredients for your chosen variation together in a tightly-lidded container OR whisk together in a small bowl.
- Let stand 10 minutes to rehydrate dried herbs and blend flavors.
- Shake again then dress salad as desired.
